Jezzebelle is Original Acoustic, Rock n' Roll, Country, Rhythm n' Roots, Melodic, Pop and probably more! It's Katie Carpenter (Vocals & Percussion) & Gary Burke (Vocals & Guitars).
2007, so far, has seen Jezzebelle win first prize in Irelands prestigious Clonmel National Song Contest for their song 'The Road Ahead', taken from their debut album 'Dirt Tracks'. In October Jezzebelle won Dublin's NOISE Concerts Battle Of The Bands, recorded new song 'Bad Seed' for soon-to-be-released-nationally acoustic compilation album 'The Potential Collection - Vol 2', played support to x-Thin Lizzy Eric Bell (and were asked back again!), been the featured band on both MySpace and the Independent Artists & Musician websites and all this while playing somewhere/anywhere twenty nights in the month and getting in the studio again to record their upcoming single 'Give It Up', which is bound for download in December, and will be graced with a video, Jezzebelle's music video debut video in fact.
"...their high octane-propulsion, and driving dogmatic rhythms mark them out from the crowd" - Siobhan Long (The Ticket - Album Review)
" Katie Carpenter is in possession of a powerful, soulful instrument" - Killian Murphy (Hotpress - Album Review)
The previous months have seen an even greater gig frequency, support slots with Don Baker (Harmonica Superstar!) and Rob Strong, appearances on Fm104's Open Mic, Newstalk's Taste, 98fm's Late Night Talk, TV interview/performance on Irelands City Channel, 4 dates at The Kilkenny Rhythm & Roots Festival 2007 including opening night, played the Wexford Hooves & Grooves Festival 2007, oh, and Jezzebelle had their music put in a kayaking DVD!
"Absolutely great, Jezzebelle don't sound like anybody else around" - Fm104's Open Mic with Ruairi Carroll
"Great Band, Vibrant, Energetic with a fabulous Guitar Sound and Great Vocals" - Tom Brannigan, 98fm
