Yeah So Basically.... I'm Now Going To
Update The Bits Of This That I Need To... Should Have Been Done A
Couple Of Months Ago Though!
Ok, Right,
Firstly... If your reading this.. thank you for taking the time to click on my profile and I hope that you like what you hear!
I just thought I'd put a little something in this section to give a bit more info as well as just to make my profile look a bit more substantial :)
At the moment I'm currently just tryin' to get some decent tracks done to kind of promote the name Rizzle and the fact that I am serious about my music... so I'm thinking you should start bopping to my tracks!
I've had so many influences in music that I'm hoping what I'm trying to put out there will be something that anyone can...lets...say.... agree with.
MY PREVIOUS MAIN TARGETS (aside from writing and recording) WERE:
-
Do as well as I can in this and another competition called BeattheMix
(click the image in the image section below that looks like a flyer and
please VOTE FOR ME!!)
- Try and get as many gigs as possible.... anywhere!! Well, anywhere that will allow me in.....
I'm definitely going to be keeping and eye on this page because like I said I want to do well so....
DID RIZZLE HAVE THE AMBITION TO ACHIEVE THEM!? Well...
-
I didn't win the BeatheMix competition but I was selected to perform at
the final ceremony and on top of that I won the award for "Most
Original Act".. Result if you ask me.
- I've been in touch with
a few promoters and things have started to move slowly but I have
bagged myself a slot supporting the artist Akala (Ms.Dynamite's little
brother) and two acoustic slots at the stupidly popular Brighton youth
gig "Teenspirit". Quality.
AND GOBUSKER AWARDED ME THEIR FIRST BURSARY!
I'll
be honest, the first thing I did with the bursary was buy myself an
iPod classic.. which is pushing it a bit but at the time I was a
deprived teenager and all I could do was gawp whilst my counterparts
sifted through thier shockingly bad taste in music!
And of course
it's been ridiculously helpful as far as networking and transporting
work is concerned, so I think it's more than a justified purchase.
With
the remainder of the bursary I've been a bit indecisive. Because I've
wanted to make BIG investments in my career, or use it to find a
foothold for bigger things.
Though recently a producer named Jamie
Simmonds has started working with me and we've decided that the money
left would kick start what would hopefully be a collection of really
strong tracks.. which I think's great.. and I'm really really looking
forward to lifting that off the ground.
Saying that, my dreams
for the last week or so have heavily revolved around the development
fund competition. My head has been up in the clouds and I've had to
ground it on a number of occasions.... But honestly... without being
too cliché.. Life changing and a half ....right?
Anyway! Thanks for taking a brief dip into my teenage mind map! Please feel free to become a fan! And.. yeah..
PEACE TO THE MAX
Rizzle
