Born In the sunny town of Blackpool, my family moved to Kirkby Stephen; an awesome little town west of the pennines when I was 2 years old. In hindsight i cant imagine growing up anywhere else, living in an area where, after two minutes walk in any direction you can find little rivers, waterfalls open fields, small forests etc. I feel that growing up in this sort of environment has had a positive effect upon me. Once i attended the secondary school in kirkby Stephen, music started playing a more prominent role in my life. I was listening to more types of music and playing more. it wasn't long before some friends and myself set up a band. Generally doing kinda-rocky songs, but we did try to be different. As I went through secondary school i started experimenting with other types of music. Having so many friends who played instruments helped. When we'd meet up on weekends, we'd have a smoke and then just spend the whole time jamming. Awesome Fun! Whilst completing my GCSE's I found new artists who just inspired me so much I couldn't contain myself listening to them. It was like a new path had just appeared in front of me: Roy Harper, Bert Jansch, John Martyn, Nick Drake. I wanted to take music further and took up a BTEC National Diploma in music at Kendal College of Arts. This environment was just perfect for creating music. I found alot of friends at Kendal College, brought together by our love of music. Many Good bands were set up whilst we were all at college: Kwan Yin, K2, and the longest survivng act to date: Paddy and Jack! Well that was two years ago and since then i've been filling my time, writing, gigging and ramblin'. Great fun!

New Recordings by Paddy Rogan

I have just finished recording three new songs, so it feels great to get them down.  Having just come back from Knockengorroch festival last week, it felt right to get some new material written and recorded while the inspiring memories from a weekend of music and art were still fresh.  The new recordings are available to listen to now.
