My idea of an artist's job is to smash himself or herself against the glass of what most people like to call reality, find out whats behind it or die trying, and i've come close enough to both, as the lyrics in these songs might demonstrate. I'm sorry but just because the world has up and turned conformist doesn't mean a poet should throw away his pen and pour his bourbon down the drain, the world may have given up it's search for truth in favor of fuzzy, gleaming pastures but if synthetic, painless truth is all that it desires, consider me an outsider, and though my kind be purged from this grazing land of a planet, I'll be happier with the company I meet amid this sweet oblivion.
