In the summer of 2005 I began writing songs my sparetime for what originally started as a solo hobby-project. By the followingsummer I had recorded a five track EP called ‘Not The Only One’ and encouragedby friends formed a band to play the material live. Over eighteen months ofgigs followed and slowly the six of us became ‘Loz Jones’ - the band. Mostpeople seem to think it’s a band name anyway!
At the beginning of 2008 we locked ourselves intorehearsal rooms and began writing our debut album - ‘Spoiling It For Everyone’.In it we share stories, personal experiences and social observations designedto challenge as well as entertain. What seems to make us tick is the kind ofspirit, energy and honesty that is only generally reserved for first-time,teenage/school bands. This might be because we were friends first before beinga band, but whatever the reason, by coupling that with experience and ability,I believe we are a rare and exciting proposition.
