The idea for the band started with the name, which was a misheard lyric from a talking heads song, not as people often think a tribute to Eric Clapton.

We have a wide range of influences from hip-hop, indie, electronica, techno, funk,..... You know the routine.

We're still in the infancy stages at the moment. But we'd just like to get the opportunity to get some of the stuff we've done so far out and about so that people can listen to it.

We have three core members, but consider ourselves an open project, welcoming other people to come and colaborate with the republic.

I hope once we get some tunes on here that you'll enjoy them. It's not about being good or bad, it's just about expression..... Man!  :)
