WILL IT EVER CHANGE?
Upside down or turned around in the mirrors of your eyes,
Distorted images of the time gone by,
We have different memories of the things we see,
What matters to you may not mean that much to me.
Inside out or round about the playground in your head,
Sliding past the faces or the names instead,
You know the look, I hear the names you say,
It’s the same book, I don’t read it the same way.
‘Cos the winds of time blow my mind away,
And the taste of wine helps me through another day,
Will you ever see what I see ?
Can you ever be what I be ?
What you think's alright doesn’t seem that way to me,
Will it ever change ?
Faded dreams and wasted scenes flicker in your mind,
Sensing many feelings, of the things you find,
Reflecting different moods, of the sounds we hear,
What’s thrilling me, is filling you with fear.
Inner skin the outside in that no-one else can feel,
You’ve got an answer, are you sure it’s real ?
We’re walking the same road, Where does it go ?
Leading us somewhere, one day we’ll know.
‘Cos the winds of time blow my mind away,
And the taste of wine helps me through another day,
Will you ever see what I see ?
Can you ever be what I be ?
No, what you think's alright doesn’t seem that way to me,
Will it ever change?
